Die Vorbereitungen für den Lecornu-Workshop laufen auf Hochtouren. Am letzten Wochenende hat das Orga-Team 2009 die Prototypen gebaut und erfolgreich probegeflogen.

Rückblick auf den Workshop 2008

Bevor es mit großen Schriten in Richtung des Historical Kite Workshops 2009 geht, gibt es jetzt noch ein Highlight vom Workshop 2008.
Auf dem neuen YouTube-Kanal vom Drachenarchiv ist jetzt ein kurzer, sehr schöner Film vom Workshop 2008 zu finden.

Übergabe des Raffle-Ertrags

Heute haben Holm Struck und Ralf Maserski den Ertrag der Raffle in Friedrichshafen (515,00€) an Heike und Wolfgang Seitz überwiesen.
Somit ist das Organisationsteam schon jetzt in der Lage die ersten Rechnungen zu begleichen.

Today Holm Struck and Ralf Maserski have sent the money from the raffle at Friedrichshafen (515,00€) to Heike and Wolfgang Seitz.
Now the organisation team can pay the first bills.

Nach einem tollen Wochenende sind auch wir nun wieder Zuhause gelandet.
Ein großes Lob für dieses fantastische Wochenende gilt den Organisatoren, dem Zeppelin Museum und allen die es möglich gemacht haben den Aufstieg über dem Bodensee durchzuführen.
Auf der 2008 Seite findet ihr jetzt eine (noch kleine) Sammlung mit Links zu dem Wochenende.
Wer noch Fotos und oder Berichte auf seine Homepage hat, der kann mir gerne den Link schicken, ich werde ihn dann zu der Liste hinzugfügen.


After a great weekend we are back home again.
We have to say thank you for a great weekend to all the organizers, the Zeppelin Museum and all authoritys which make the kite ascent on Lake Constance possible.

HKW2008 the kite flies!

The Historical Kite Workshop 2008 was in Friedrichshafen. We joined in with people all around the world. Of course the setting in and around the Zeppelinmuseum was great, we all enjoined it. Then we were able to build the Kusnetzov-kite. A beautiful meteorological kite that I wouldn’t be able to build without the work that the organisers of the workshop did. They made a good buildingplan, the iron-work and the pre-bown woodwork. Now the question is…. Will it fly? Well it does! I tried it this afternoon in the meadows around the river IJssel and it flew wonderful. It was a shame that the batteries of my camera got empty, but the one shot that I made, proves my point: it really flew!!
So another compliment to the guys who prepared the workshop: Detlef, Hilmar and Charles. Great work guys, THANKS!!!
